Photography Styling & Composition Workshop; North Carolina Mountains

Spend three nights in the Appalachian Mountains, tasting Southern hospitality, shooting and styling curated images & scenes, meeting other artistic comrades, going on photographic adventures and more... Whether you are a seasoned photographer, new to the business, or a stylist in the making, this workshop will teach the enhancement of images by practicing the art of styling & composition and lend portfolio building opportunity through our plethora of styled shoots.

Lead by photographer and stylist Anna Naphtali of Anna Naphtali Photography and popular blog The Colorful Living Project and her team of experts. Also learn from Yahoo editor Carolyn Clark. Carolyn has worked with Martha Stewart, Donald Trump and on the Late Night Show with Conan O'brien. She is a DIY queen, a networking expert and head-hunted regularly from some of the top companies in the world. She will be offering branding, consulting and business advice to any interested. The Hey Love! Events team will also be joining us to curate our styled shoots and create amazing event experiences for you to photograph. Ginger Hussey, owner of Hey Love! has been in the events business for over 20 years and has recently been featured on Style Me Pretty & Green Wedding Shoes. Caravan Media will be stopping by to share a few tips and film our time together for us to remember. Also joining us will be a brigade of models, designers, hair & makeup artists and more.

What: We will be composing and shooting a highly edited selection of props and styled sessions, covering florals, food, environment, wedding, engagement & model sessions. We will also cover elements of blogging, social media, brand value and more.

Where: The beautiful Southern Mountains of North Carolina and surrounding areas of a private lodge settled in an Apple Orchard in Moravian Falls near Boone.

*note: must have some knowledge of camera basics to get the most out of sessions unless you are a stylist who will be teaming up with a photographer. All levels welcome and will benefit from our time together, but the emphasis will be learning styling to be a better photographer, build your portfolio with insanely beautiful imagery and be refreshed with Southern Hospitality and waking up in the natural beauty of the North Carolina Mountains.
